|
|
I am a long-time Frankoma collector that is now in grad school studying art history. I would like to do a research paper on Frankoma pottery, but there seems to be a dearth of scholarly writings about the company or its founders. Does anyone know of any academic work on the topic? I've contacted Donna Frank, and have begun collecting as many Pot and Puma back issues that I can find. I'm also in the process of purchasing all the Frankoma books that I am able to find.
Any help, ideas, leads, or information would be truly appreciated.

Scott,
When you say "academic work on the topic," I'm not quite sure what you're asking for. Frankoma Factory? John Frank? Frankoma Pottery? Thesis? Research Projects? Would love to help, but could you be more specific about what you're looking for?

I am going to write my master's thesis on the Frankoma Pottery. I will also be writing a short paper on the Wagon Wheel line for this semester.
The thesis will be due two years from now.
Thanks for any help or information.

I happened to get a yellow wagon wheel pitcher 94D, from my husbands grandmother when she passed away. No one wanted it & I thought it looked nice so I took it.
I had never heard of Frankoma- or just never paid any attention to this.
Please tell me what you know of this piece. Or point me in the right direction to find out more. Thanks |
